Azrael

Here's the NPC Azrael, for the Tournament of Rings. He's an Angel aspiring to be an Archangel, and he won't let anyone get in the way of him doing his job. He's currently an apprentice of Michael.

He's been assigned to keep track of the Tournament of Rings and the deaths/defeats that occur there.

As an NPC, Tournament of Ring competitors are free to use him as they wish, so long as credit is given.

Name: Azrael

Age: 34

Height and weight: 5'11"

Body type: Slender with wiry muscles.

Eyes: Thin, diamond shaped, midnight blue eyes.

Hair: Chestnut-Auburn tied back with a blue hair clip. His bangs and the rest of his hair falls to his shoulders when tied back.

Skin: swarthy; a tan Mediterranean skin tone.

Birthday: May Fifth

Tattoos/scars: None.

Other: Four smaller-than-average silvery-white wings with a tinge of blue. He also has his glasses that are attached with a blue cord. He also has a gold ring on his left ring finger.

Preferred outfits: A dress shirt, black slacks, and dress shoes.

Background: Azrael was an angel from birth. He, however, never looked human, for he wasn't human. His family was very traditional, and didn't see a problem with his monstrous form, however it made things quite difficult for him, for he often scared unprepared people. Upon growing older, he perfected the ability to disguise his appearance into a more socially accepted, humanoid form. He naturally was drawn to the mortals on earth, and after completing his education, became one of the many recorders of life and death on earth. He's now constantly writing in his black book and constantly crossing out what he wrote. Every name he writes is another person being born, every name crossed out is the record of another death in the world.

Natural form: In his natural form, Azrael has 4,000 wings, four faces, and a body comprised of eyes and tongues- one each for each human on earth.

Powers: Able to fly, able to go intangible, and powerful psionic powers.

Will: Logical and analytical, Azrael is very difficult to break. He will deconstruct arguments put against him, and can easily emotionally detach himself from any situation or person.

General personality: Calm and collected, Azrael is never angry and has the patience of a saint.

Maturity: Mature and serious.

Relationship status: Single and Celibate

Values: Azrael holds high praise for his superiors, and pities any fallen comrades. However, death on earth is menial to him, and he sees it as just doing his job.

Quirks and mannerisms: Azrael is often curt and will answer something in the simplest and shortest way possible.

When angry: Azrael hardly gets angry, but when he does, he's a force to be reckoned with, and will try to get rid of the problem the quickest and most efficient way- even if it involves death.

Likes: Order and organizing, quills, anthropology

Dislikes: having to work excessively to get a simple task done, not knowing where things are, people not using common sense.

Strengths: Azrael is very fast when flying, and a very high powered Psionic. He also is unflappable and keeps his cool most all the time, having an emotional composition of steel. Well, unless it comes to his sister, but that's an exception to the rule. In addition, being an angel, he's very hard to kill. It's not impossible, but he can survive blows that would kill most mortals. He also has very fast reflexes and an ability to multitask and split his attention span so sneak attacks will fail half the time.

Weaknesses: Azrael's also not fast on the ground. He flies for a reason. On the ground, he's terribly slow, and he can't run very well, which makes his running start for his takeoff a bit of a slow one. His weak point is his back. It's where his wings are, and if he were stabbed in the back, it would injure him a lot more than if he were hurt in another place. He also can't fly if he's drenched in water.
